The HIP-HOP SUMMIT YOUTH COUNCIL (HSYC), founded in 2001 by music industry veteran, community activist, author and Youth Council Chairman Charles Fisher, is a non-profit organization located in Queens, New York. In just its first two years HSYC has positioned itself to become an effective voice for youth on a host of issues that confront them daily. Their goal is to “change the game” through improving the image and unity within the multi-billion dollar Hip-Hop industry by using its positive influence for the social, political and economic empowerment of youth. Since its inception the Council has sponsored Nine Hip-Hop Youth Summits along with a host of programs, projects and activities that support our mission.
