The 2005 Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment National Tour gained momentum in Washington DC as 2,500 young adults from 18-35 filled the Washington Convention Center to hear how to “Get Your Money Right” from those who have experience in the matter. In addition, five members of the United States Congress addressed the Summit including Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), Al Wynn (D-Maryland), John Conyers (D-Michigan), G.K. Butterfield (D-North Carolina), and Gwen Moore (D-Wisconsin).
